Meet Us

Michele Wallendal, M.D., FAAP

Michele Wallendal, MD, has practiced with Pediatrics 5280 since 1996. Prior to that, she provided emergency-room care at The Children’s Hospital in Denver. Dr. Wallendal completed her undergraduate studies at University of Virginia, earned her medical degree from Duke University, and did her residency at The Children’s Hospital. She is married to another pediatrician and is the mother of two boys. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, biking, hiking, reading, and traveling.

Liesl G Young, M.D., FAAP

Liesl G. Young, MD, joined Pediatrics 5280 in 2007. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed her residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She previously worked at The Children’s Hospital Urgent Care in Aurora and had a private practice in Castle Rock. Dr. Young is married with two children and enjoys hiking, cooking, and music.
