Provider telephone call update starting July 15th, 2026

Dear Pediatrics 5280 Families,

To continue providing timely access to a provider when your child needs care, we are updating our process for phone conversations that require provider review and medical decision-making. In some situations—such as discussing lab or imaging results, specialist recommendations, hospital follow-up, medication changes, or urgent after-hours medical guidance—these services may be billed to your insurance, similar to an office visit or other medical care. Because coverage varies by insurance plan, any associated cost may differ from family to family. We want to be transparent about this process while continuing to provide the thoughtful medical guidance your child deserves.

We will also be adding a code that is used to report services provided during regularly scheduled evening, weekend, or holiday office hours. This does not apply to flu clinics or other scheduled vaccine-only clinics held on Saturdays or Sundays.

For non-urgent concerns, we encourage families to use the “Is Your Child Sick?” resources on our website, download the ChildrensMD App - created by Children's Hospital Colorado, visit www.healthychildren.org , reference books “Your Childs Health and/or My Child is Sick”, both by Barton Schmitt, or contact our office during regular business hours (8am-5pm - closed for lunch 12pm-1pm).

As always, if your child is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Thank you for your understanding and for trusting us with your child’s care.

Welcome Dr. Zeva Graf! Dr. Graf will be starting on August 3rd, 2026. She will be based in our Centennial office. We are so excited for her to join us!

Zeva Graf, MD grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Penn State University. She moved to Colorado in 2023 to complete her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado and is excited to join Pediatrics 5280 in August 2026. Dr. Graf loves building lasting relationships with children and families, helping kids thrive at every stage of development. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, running, reading, baking, and exploring Colorado and beyond with her husband and their goldendoodle, Ozi.

Important update regarding appointment reminder system

We want to let you know that we are transitioning to a new appointment reminder text messaging system.

During this transition, there will be a temporary lapse in reminder texts from November 7 to December 7 .

You can still see all appointments in MyChart.

Please text "START" to 20193 to opt in to our new platform.

At this time, we're only able to assign one phone number as the primary for receiving messages. If you'd like to change which one is primary, just let us know.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we make this upgrade.

RSV prevention/Beyfortus update

Beyfortus 2025-2026

We will be offering the Beyfortus (RSV) injection in our office again this season. Beyfortus is a preventative antibody that helps protect babies against serious RSV-related lung infections.

We can administer this treatment to any baby that meets the following criteria:

Under 8 months of age (cannot be 8 months and 0 days).
Has not previously received the RSV injection.
Mother did not receive the adult RSV vaccine while pregnant OR mother received the adult RSV vaccine less than 14 days before delivery.

If your infant is eligible and you would like them to receive this treatment, please call our office to schedule at 303-779-5437 ext 3 and then option 1 .

*We are only offering appointments on Mondays and Thursdays in both our Centennial and Castle Rock locations.

All our clinicians recommend this RSV prevention for eligible babies. Beyfortus CAN be given at a well visit, so if your baby has an upcoming wellness visit, it can be discussed and given at the time of the visit. We will not be able to add on sibling/ parent flu or COVID vaccines during a Beyfortus visit.

Signs of RSV in Babies

Fast or short breaths
Grunting noises
Chest caving in with each breath
Skin turns blue or purple due to lack of oxygen.
On darker skin, look for changes to lips, tongue, gums, and around eyes.

Call your pediatrician right away if your child has any of these symptoms.

COVID vaccine update

COVID vaccines 2025

Dear Families,

We want to keep you in the loop as we work to make the updated COVID-19 vaccine available in our office for all age groups.

At this time, we are actively working on obtaining the vaccine and setting up the necessary systems to begin offering it safely and efficiently. While we will now not be able to administer COVID-19 vaccines during our large flu clinics, we plan to offer it during regular office hours.

We anticipate delivery of the 12+ year old vaccine this week, but the 5-11 will not be available until mid-September. We do not have an anticipated delivery date for the 6mo to 4-year vaccine at this time.

Please Note: Insurance coverage for the COVID-19 vaccine is still unclear. Some plans may not cover the cost for non-high risk patients. We encourage families to check with their insurance provider to understand potential out-of-pocket expenses.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will keep you informed as we make progress. As always, your child’s health is our top priority.

We are excited to welcome 2 new physicians to the office! Dr. Brandon Ross and Dr. Vera Becka will be starting in September, and will be seeing patients in the Castle Rock office. Welcome Drs. Ross and Becka!

Brandon Ross, MD, MPH grew up in western Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University before completing medical school at UCLA. He completed his pediatrics residency training at Children’s Hospital Colorado in 2017. He has extensive experience in primary care pediatrics, having lived and worked in the Denver Metro Area since residency. He will be joining Pediatrics 5280 in September 2025. He is happily married with two sons and a daughter. He enjoys family trips, cooking, and reading.
